What to know about driving here
Everything funnels onto the bridges. Dom Luís I carries the metro on its upper deck and is slow below; Arrábida takes the motorway traffic; and when one of them stops, they all feel it. Down at the cellars the streets are cobbled, narrow and often closed to traffic, so agree a meeting point rather than a door number.
